From idea to application

Projects

From robots that learn to agents that research, build, and support our team. Explore our work in Physical AI and agentic systems.

01Physical AI platform

NeoDEM

  • Robot data
  • Training & deployment
  • Fleet operations

One platform for the robot’s entire learning loop.

NeoDEM connects the work around intelligent robots: collecting demonstrations, training models, deploying skills, evaluating results, and managing operations. It brings data, models, and robots together so experience from a deployment can feed the next round of learning.

The focus
A connected workflow from the first demonstration to day-to-day robot operations, with model versions, telemetry, and traceable records in one place.
Our approach
A modular platform that connects different models and robot systems. We develop and evaluate its capabilities in simulation and on real hardware.

02Innovation project

HNNA

  • Humanoid robotics
  • Industrial tasks
  • Practical evaluation

Humans Need Not Apply.

Which tasks can cognitive robots take on in a real industrial environment? HNNA turns that question into practical experiments. Together with partners in the EastSideFab community, we explore humanoid robots for handling, assembly, and assistance.

The focus
Find out where robots can support people, what they need to learn, and where today’s systems reach their limits.
Our approach
EmAI leads the project, ZeMA contributes implementation and programming, and thyssenkrupp Automotive Body Solutions and Villeroy & Boch bring the application perspective.

03Robotics research

Modular World Model

  • World modelling
  • Prediction & planning
  • Modular architecture

A foundation for robots that understand what comes next.

A robot needs to connect what it sees with what its actions might change. Our Modular World Model project explores that connection: how a model of the environment could help a robot anticipate outcomes and plan its next step.

The focus
Investigate how perception, prediction, and action can work together to help robots handle unfamiliar situations.
Our approach
Develop an architecture with interchangeable components that can be tested independently. The aim is to compare ideas, learn from robot experience, and evaluate whether predictions improve decisions.

04AI for robotics research

Agentic Researcher

  • Research agents
  • Experiment design
  • Evidence & evaluation

From a research question to an experiment with evidence.

Agentic Researcher is a persistent research agent for robotics. It proposes testable hypotheses, selects data and training approaches, and coordinates experiments through our existing infrastructure. Its goal is to turn each result into evidence that informs the next experiment.

The focus
Connect ideas, datasets, training runs, and evaluation in a traceable research workflow for robot learning and world models.
Our approach
The agent records its reasoning, experiment setup, and results in NeoDEM. We are developing the workflow step by step, with a completed training pilot and simulation evaluation still in development.

05Agents in everyday work

Agentic Company

  • Engineering team
  • Marketing agent
  • Personal assistants

A team of agents, working alongside our people.

Agentic Company explores how specialised AI agents can become part of everyday company work. An agentic engineering team supports our projects, a marketing agent helps communicate our work, and every team member has a personal AI assistant.

The focus
Bring support directly into the work: building and testing software, preparing marketing content, and helping each person organise tasks, research, and follow-ups.
Our approach
Give agents clear roles and shared project context, while people set direction and review results. We use our own company as the place to learn how these teams can collaborate effectively.
